Chez Georges is located in Courtauly, a peaceful working village (pop 72), located deep in rural southwest France amidst endless cycling/walking trails and numerous farmers’ market towns – 12 kms east of medieval Mirepoix, and 12 kms west of Limoux with its many wineries and fine dining, and only 40 minutes from the historic walled city of Carcassonne with its deluxe shops and cafes.
 
An hour from the Mediterranean, or from Toulouse - “the Paris of the South”, and just an hour and a bit from duty-free Andorra, or the Spanish border, this area boasts sunshine 300 days a year.

Perfectly situated for daytrips - to climb breathtaking Cathare chateaux - to sample up and coming Languedoc wines - to discover abbeys and local artisans, or just to enjoy a seaside cafe or Michelin restaurant, Chez Georges offers the ideal base for exploring this exciting area. 

Situated on the outside edge of the village overlooking the valley and surrounding hills, Chez Georges offers tranquil privacy.  This 2 level home has been carefully renovated to include modern conveniences.  Also offering privacy, the two bedrooms are located on separate floors.

For dining al fresco, there is a generous patio table on the herb-bordered terrace that overlooks a croquet-size lawn with ancient walnut tree.  The atmosphere enhanced with the soothing sound of church bells, birdsong, and the stream that borders the back of the garden.

And throughout the area, the spectacular sites of the Cathare Country, with historic sites that are readily accessible.
